Yelken Financial LLC

Grow Wealth. Protect Your Family. Skip the Market Downside.

Yelken Financial LLC helps individuals and families understand Indexed Universal Life (IUL) insurance — a permanent life insurance policy that combines a tax-advantaged death benefit with cash value growth linked to a market index, without the risk of losing money when the market drops.

An IUL can help you:

  • Leave a tax-free death benefit to your family
  • Grow cash value tied to a market index (e.g. S&P 500)
  • Protect that cash value from market losses (0% floor)
  • Access funds tax-advantaged for retirement income
  • Keep flexible premiums as your budget changes

IUL Basics

What Is an Indexed Universal Life (IUL) Policy?

An IUL is a type of permanent life insurance. Part of your premium pays for a death benefit, and part builds cash value that can earn interest based on the performance of a market index — without your money actually being invested in the market.

Death Benefit

A tax-free death benefit passes to your beneficiaries, helping cover income replacement, debts, or final expenses.

Indexed Growth

Cash value growth is credited based on the performance of a chosen index, subject to a cap, up to a certain limit each year.

Downside Protection

A 0% floor means your cash value won't decrease due to a down market year — you keep prior gains even if the index drops.

Tax-Advantaged Access

Cash value can potentially be accessed through policy loans or withdrawals, often without triggering immediate income tax, to supplement retirement income.

How It Works

Three things that make an IUL different from term life

1. It's Permanent

Unlike term insurance, an IUL doesn't expire after a set number of years — as long as it's funded properly, coverage and cash value accumulation can last your whole life.

2. Cash Value Builds Up

A portion of every premium goes toward cash value that grows based on index performance, which you may be able to use later for retirement income, emergencies, or major purchases.

3. Flexibility

Many IUL policies allow you to adjust premium payments and death benefit amounts over time as your financial situation changes.

This is general education, not a guarantee of performance. Actual caps, floors, fees, and results vary by carrier and policy. A licensed agent will walk you through specific numbers for your situation.
